Fabrication/Quality Control Specialist: DC
Responsible for assisting the electrician with the installation of systems and equipment as directed by their supervisor. Assists in the installation of electrical equipment in accordance with all applicable plans, specifications, codes and industry standards.
- Assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining electrical or electronic wiring, conduit, cable, equipment, components and devices associated with electrical equipment
- Installing and mounting electronic controls, device, panels, sensors, and components.
- Testing electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices. Inspecting installation sites and studying work orders, building plans, and installation manuals in order to determine materials requirements and installation procedures.
- Diagnosing malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
- Reading contract drawings.
- Trouble shoot CCTV and access control systems.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED required 0+ months of experience
- Must be able to pass background check.
- Minimum two years of specialized vocational training or college-level coursework in electronics and four years experience in the instrumentation/electronic systems; with three years with industrial control systems;
Physical Job Requirements
Candidates must be able to:
- Lift up to 50 lbs regularly and carry equipment up to 250 feet unassisted
- Safely use ladders and hand/power tools
- Work in attics, crawl spaces, rooftops, and tight spaces
- Tolerate dust, debris, and occasional unpleasant odors
- Stand or work on concrete or uneven surfaces for extended periods
