    Competitive pay About the Role We’re looking for a skilled and reliable Extruder Operator to join our growing production team in Brampton. This role involves operating and monitoring extrusion lines to produce high-quality plastic products in a fast-paced, hot manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Blown Film Extrusion, strong attention to detail, and the ability to maintain quality and efficiency while adhering to safety standards.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor two extrusion lines continuously during a 12-hour shift.
  • Perform set-up and line preparation, including starting the extrusion bubble and threading film through the line.
  • Conduct hourly quality checks to ensure specifications for seals, openings, bag lengths, hole punches, and printing are met.
  • Collaborate with the Foreman to troubleshoot and resolve operational or quality issues.
  • Perform viscosity checks and safely handle alcohol, solvents, and inks added to pumps.
  • Manage order changeovers efficiently with minimal downtime.
  • Maintain high attention to detail and uphold quality standards.
  • Follow all safety protocols; PPE and heat-resistant gloves provided.
  • Work actively on your feet and navigate multiple mezzanine levels throughout the shift.
  • Qualifications

  • Experience in Blown Film Extrusion is required.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or extrusion environment is an asset.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Comfortable working in hot conditions and physically active for long shifts (standing, walking, climbing stairs).
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and accurately handle chemicals.
