Vysus Group seeks an experienced Fitness-for-Service (FFS) Engineer to provide advanced assessments following API 579 / ASME FFS-1 guidelines. This role requires a strong analytical approach to engineering challenges.
In this position, you’ll engage in Level 3 evaluations, focusing on integrity issues related to energy and industrial assets. Your expertise in conducting assessments for various damage mechanisms will be crucial. Communicating effectively with inspectors, integrity engineers, and clients is key to validating inspection results and assumptions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct API 579 / ASME FFS-1 Level 1, 2, and 3 assessments
• Analyze corrosion, cracking, weld flaws, and more
• Utilize fracture mechanics and remaining life assessments
• Perform stress analyses using CAESAR-II
• Compile comprehensive technical reports for clients
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Materials)
• P.Eng. registration with APEGA required
• Experience in performing API 579 Level 3 assessments
• Strong understanding of structural assessment methods
• Excellent technical writing and communication skills
