A progressive and patient-focused veterinary practice is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our clinical team. The ideal candidate is a motivated, compassionate professional with strong technical skills and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care and excellent client service.
Position Overview
The Veterinary Technician plays a vital role in supporting veterinarians with medical procedures, patient care, and client communication. Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment and capable of performing a wide range of technical and nursing duties.
Minimum Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience working as a Veterinary Technician in a clinical veterinary setting
- Veterinary technician certification/licensure preferred (CVT, RVT, or LVT depending on state regulations)
- Strong knowledge of veterinary medical terminology and patient care procedures
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to multitask and maintain efficiency in a busy hospital environment
- Compassionate approach toward animals and their owners
Technical Skills and Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians with examinations, diagnostics, and treatments
- Perform venipuncture and IV catheter placement
- Monitor and manage anesthesia during surgical and dental procedures
- Obtain and process laboratory samples (blood, urine, cytology, fecal tests)
- Perform radiography and imaging procedures
- Prepare and administer medications as directed by the veterinarian
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
- Provide client education regarding medications, post-operative care, and preventive medicine
- Maintain a clean and safe hospital environment

Schedule:
- Four 7 hour shifts
- One 9 hour shift
- Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 – $23.00 per hour
