Position Overview:
We are looking for experienced cooks/chefs to ensure the efficient and effective operation of our culinary department. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, confidence, and a proven track record of turning out quality food, consistently in a high-volume kitchen.
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring they adhere to recipes, food safety standards, and company policies.
- Oversee food preparation, including cooking, plating, and presentation, to ensure consistency and quality.
- Develop and implement kitchen procedures and workflows to streamline operations and maximize efficiency.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques, food safety practices, and sanitation procedures.
- Collaborate with management to develop and update menus, taking into account seasonal ingredients, customer preferences, and culinary trends.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Handle customer inquiries and concerns related to food quality and service, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Cook or Chef
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire kitchen staff to achieve excellence.
- In-depth knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety standards.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and a passion for culinary excellence.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Culinary degree or certification is a plus
