EXECUTIVE CHEF OVERVIEWOur client, a top caterer in Montreal, is looking for a professional Executive Chef to be in charge of managing our catering kitchens. The ideal candidate will employ his/her culinary and managerial skills to create and develop menus and recipes, manage kitchen staff members, and help in preparing the food for various needs of the operation. He/she will play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing our customers’ satisfaction.

and the experience and enjoyment of food. The Executive Chef position is expected to often work weekends, Holidays and evenings.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Developing a culinary plan to ensure quality satisfaction with both long- and short-term Enhancing
food quality
by creating standards for other kitchen staff members. Following and maintaining all existing House recipes and Monitoring the prices set on a menu by overseeing and comparing it to the cost of inventory, food orders, and supplies. Assisting with the creation and the design of seasonal, monthly, or annual menus.
Working with the sales team to ensure food and labor budgets are maintained and monitored. Supervising daily activities of the kitchen staff including Sous Chefs, Specialist Chefs, Pastry Chefs, Cooks, and Assistants. Ensuring proper training and performance standards with current and new staff Ensuring all kitchen equipment is running efficiently and arranging repairs or new parts when required. Looking over operating costs of running the kitchen to ensure food, equipment, and staffing budgets are not exceeded.
Ensuring adequate and proper ordering of goods and maintaining sufficient inventory levels. Supervising and coordinating all off-site catering events to ensure proper execution.

experience. MAPAQ Certified and familiar with industry’s best practices including health and safety regulations. Minimum of 1 years’ worth of experience as an Executive Chef or similar
leadership
role. Culinary DEP or comparable certification/experience.
