Join Our Team as a Bilingual (FRENCH and ENGLISH) Estimator at FIRST ONSITE!

FIRST ONSITE is on the lookout for a talented full-time Estimator to join our dynamic NATIONAL ESTIMATION DESK. In this role, you’ll be responsible for scoping and estimating the work needed for restoration projects, ensuring property owners receive exceptional service and satisfaction every step of the way.
TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS FULLY REMOTE ROLE IN CANADA there are 2 KEY Requirements:
Bilingual proficiency in English and French (spoken and written)
Level 1 or 2 proficiency in Xactimate
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN ESTIMATOR ON THE NATIONAL ESTIMATION DESK IN CANADA
The Estimator plays a vital role in supporting the region by providing accurate and timely estimates. Working closely with the Program Performance Manager and Project Managers, they ensure that estimates are produced efficiently based on information received from First Onsite branches. In addition to collaborating with team members, the Estimator maintains a strong understanding of insurance companies, independent adjusters, and First Onsite accounts. They contribute to the timely completion of projects through the proficient use of ClaimTrak, Xactimate, and Microsoft Office software, coupled with effective communication skills. Responsibilities include uploading completed estimates into Claimtrak, maintaining detailed job logs, ensuring compliance with Service Level Agreement requirements, and adhering to health and safety protocols. The Estimator also provides feedback to improve estimating methods and monitors estimate approvals within Xactanalysis. Furthermore, they oversee the uploading of all necessary documentation related to Xactimate files and provide feedback on estimating processes to relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Possession of a College Diploma or relevant certification, or a blend of pertinent training courses and practical experience, may be considered in lieu of specific academic requirements.
Demonstrated proficiency with 2-5 years of experience in estimation within the restoration or insurance industry, specializing in property and commercial claims.
Strong command of computer software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook.
Proficiency in Xactimate at level 1 or 2, showcasing the ability to accurately estimate project costs (T&M).
Bilingual proficiency in both French and English, facilitating effective communication with clients and team members alike.
