Salon@Church is a boutique luxury salon located in a beautifully restored historic church in Welland. We are expanding our aesthetics department — The Facial Bar by Salon@Church — and we are looking for an experienced, passionate Esthetician to help us build this side of the business.We currently see over 450 clients a month on the hair side of our business. For the right person, the opportunity to build a fully booked column by cross-promoting and recommending services to our existing clientele is massive.The RoleYou will be the driving force behind The Facial Bar. We are looking for someone who loves skincare, loves servicing clients, and wants to take leadership.In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Providing high-quality facials, skincare treatments, hair removal, and makeup services.
- Bringing your own expertise to the table — if there are additional services you are certified in and want to introduce to the salon, we want to hear about them.
- Educating clients on skincare and recommending Eminence products (earning up to 20% commission on retail sales).
- Working alongside our hair stylists and support team to ensure the flow of the day runs smoothly.
- Assisting with reception work and general team-based duties when not actively with a client.
What We Are Looking ForWe are a close-knit team that values mastery, authenticity, and flow. We want someone who is driven to build their clientele and eager to collaborate with the rest of the salon to make that happen.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience as an Esthetician.
- Education: Esthetics diploma required. Additional certifications (e.g., lashes, advanced skincare) are a bonus.
- Availability: Must be available for wedding bookings on Saturdays. The rest of the schedule is flexible, but we are looking for a mix of daytime and evening availability.
- Mindset: You are passionate about skincare, proactive about building your book, and happy to jump in and help the team when needed.
What We Offer
- Base Pay: $18.50 per hour.
- Retail Commission: Up to 20% commission on Eminence product sales.
- Service Bonuses: Potential for service bonuses and commission as you grow your book.
- Built-in Clientele: Immediate access to cross-promote your services to our 450+ monthly salon clients.
- Growth: This role starts at a guaranteed 15 hours per week, but as the department grows, your hours and role can expand with it.
