Overview
Join our team as an Equipment Operator specializing in demolition and material processing machinery operation. You will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a wide range of specialized equipment to support demolition projects, site remidiation and material processing for removal and recycling. Your expertise will help ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge machinery and contribute to removal of obsolete industrial facilities to make way for future use.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, dump trucks, tankers,as well as a large variation of other support equipment on site.
- Perform demolition activities including controlled dismantling of structures using specialized equipment.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on all machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Follow project plans and safety protocols meticulously during all operations.
- Assist with site setup, including grading, excavation, and material movement to prepare for Future phases.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate equipment usage and project timelines effectively.
- Maintain detailed records of equipment operation logs, safety checks, and incident reports.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy construction equipment and their maintenance requirements.
- Proven experience operating excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, dump trucks, tankers,forklifts and skid steers.
- Construction site experience with a focus on demolition projects and Scrap metals processing.
- Familiarity with Shears, Hammers, Densifiers and Grapples is highly desirable.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals and safety instructions clearly.
- Excellent teamwork skills combined with a proactive safety mindset. Pay: $25.00 – $32.00 per hour
