EXCAVATION HEAVY EQUPMENT OPERATOR FORMAN QUALIFICATIONS:
- Applicants should possess a working knowledge of construction sites and procedures, including utilities.
- Applicant should have the knowledge and ability to read plans.
- Ability to work well with a team of subcontractors and a supervisor
- High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (G.E.D.) preferred, but not required
- Position requires adequate transportation to work sites.
- Position requires access to Cell Phone service that can be used to download an app for clock in/out and for business calls.
- Position requires traveling up to a 60-mile radius from home address in order to take on active projects as assigned.
EXCAVATION HEAVY EQUPMENT OPERATOR FORMAN EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a heavy equipment operator
- PRIOR EXPERIENCE AS EXCAVATOR OPERATOR REQUIRED. LOADER OPERATOR, SKID STEER OPERATOR EXPERIENCE PREFERRED
- Knowledge of principles and practices of routine and preventative maintenance of heavy construction vehicles, and equipment
- Knowledge of occupational hazards and standard safety practices
- Knowledge of safe load securing practices and rigging
- Understanding of hand signals
- Must have experience with pipe work, site grading, and mass excavation
- Applicant must be skilled and experienced at running the following: bulldozers, excavators, skid steers, dump trucks and have a valid hoisting license 2A or better
- Class A or B commercial driver’s license is a plus.
- Valid DOT medical card
