Senior Flooring Technician / Crew Lead Charlec Epoxy Flooring – Vancouver, BC
Charlec Epoxy Flooring is a growing concrete coatings company based in Vancouver, specializing in concrete resinous coatings and concrete polishing for residential, commercial, and industrial applications — including epoxy, flake, metallic, polyaspartic, and urethane cement systems.
We are looking for an experienced flooring professional capable of running jobs independently and leading a crew on-site.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead concrete preparation and grinding on commercial and industrial job sites
- Install resinous coating systems (epoxy, polyaspartic, metallic, urethane cement) and polished concrete floors from start to finish
- Mix materials accurately, managing ratios, timing, and recoat windows
- Direct and mentor junior crew members on-site
- Troubleshoot job site issues in real time (substrate conditions, dew point, adhesion, etc.)
- Manage equipment (grinders, vacuums, generators) and maintain job site organization
- Travel to job sites across Greater Vancouver and surrounding areas
Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in concrete coatings/flooring installation
- Demonstrated ability to run jobs independently, from start to finish
- Experience with resinous coatings (epoxy, polyaspartic, metallic, urethane cement) and polished concrete (wet and dry)
- Experience across commercial, industrial, and residential settings
- Ability to lead and coordinate a small crew
- Capable of extended physical work, including grinding and lifting heavy equipment
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
Work Details
- Team meets at the Vancouver shop each morning before traveling to job sites
- Work includes both preparation/grinding days and installation days
- Job sites vary across Vancouver and surrounding areas
Pay: $40–75hr depending on experience and skill level. For larger projects, compensation may also include bonus pay or a percentage of the job (e.g., price per square foot), rewarding efficiency and quality on high-volume work.
Start Date: Immediate — projects beginning next week
