Role Description
This is a full-time summer position May to end of August, on-site role based in Carman, MB, for an Environmental Lab Tech Summer student. The selected candidate will be responsible for conducting water sample analyses, supporting physical and chemical assessments of waterbodies, logging and interpreting test results, and assisting in implementing customized treatment plans. Additional responsibilities may include maintaining lab equipment, upholding environmental health and safety procedures, and documenting the findings in adherence to Clean Water Pro’s standards and guidelines.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of Health & Safety, Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), and Workplace Safety procedures
- Strong understanding of environmental health and occupational health practices
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to follow detailed protocols
- Experience working in laboratory environments or within environmental science fields is an asset
- Proficiency with data entry and basic laboratory software (e.g., Microsoft Excel)
- Enrollment in or recent graduate of a program related to Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field
