Enclosure Prep Associate
Benshaw Canada has a full time opportunity for a passionate individual to join our team as an Enclosure Prep Associate. In this position, you will be responsible for supporting the preparation, packaging, staging and shipment of electrical enclosures, components, and finished products to ensure safe, accurate, and timely delivery to customers and internal departments.

What will you do?
- Prepare enclosures and related components for assembly, shipment or storage.
- Clean, inspect, label and organize enclosure materials and finished products.
- Assist with drilling, tapping, mounting hardware and other basic prep activities as required.
- Operate hand and power tools, such as stud presses and jigsaws, to prepare panels by installing studs and creating accurate cutouts.
- Verify materials and components against work orders, packing lists and specifications.
- Ensure products are properly protected and packaged to prevent shipping damage.
- Package and palletize products according to shipping requirements and company standards.
- Prepare shipping documentation including packing slips, labels, bills of lading and courier paperwork.
- Coordinate outbound shipments with carriers and internal logistics personnel.
- Load and unload shipments using appropriate material handling equipment where certified.
- Drop off and pick up materials at suppliers/waste disposal centres.
- Assist production and materials management team as required to meet operational demands.
What you bring to the position:
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- Experience with hand and power tools, measuring devices, operating forklifts or pallet jacks
- Previous experience in manufacturing, shipping/receiving, warehouse, or production environments considered an asset
- Experience with packaging, inventory handling, or electrical enclosure products is beneficial
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs
- Basic understanding of shipping and warehouse procedures.
- Basic math skills
- Basic computer skills for shipping systems and to obtain work order information
- Ability to read work instructions, packing slips and shipping labels.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Effective communication skills
- Dependable and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
