Job DescriptionThe Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) / Primary Care Paramedic (PCP) is responsible to respond to the emergent and non-emergent calls for service and for providing Advanced Life Support, initial assessment, treatment and transportation of ill or injured persons in accordance with the Saskatchewan Ambulance Act and Regulations, Emergency Health Services Basic and Advance Life Support Protocols, and Keewatin Yatth Health Region EMS Policies.
Job QualificationsRequired Qualifications
CMA accredited Pre-Hospital Care Program at the Primary Care Paramedic (PCP/EMT/ICP/EMT-A) level
CPR Level C certificate
International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) – Basic
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics at the PCP/EMT level
Valid Class 4 drivers license
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
