Plains is looking for a skilled and motivated Electrical Technician to support our terminal and PPTC pipeline operations in Saskatchewan and Manitoba.

Based in Regina, SK, and reporting to the Maintenance Team Lead, your duties will include overseeing daily maintenance activities at the facility and on the pipeline. In addition, you will contribute to

efficient operations

and line-location/ground disturbance activities in accordance with applicable regulations and company standards, policies, and procedures. This role requires working a modified compressed 9.5-hour schedule with callouts and overtime as needed.

Permanent residency within 100 km of the Plains Dewdney terminal is a condition of employment and preference will be given to local candidates.

Responsibilities:

Ensure the operation of electrical systems and equipment by completing preventive and corrective maintenance on MCCs, PLCs, variable frequency drives, motors, transformers, and equipment wiring.

Follow electrical codes, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications related to the electrical trade.

Install, replace, and repair electrical control and distribution equipment, such as switches, relays, and circuit breaker panels.

Troubleshoot electrical circuits within the operating facility.

Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records on electrical circuits within a plant atmosphere.

Troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on UPS systems.

Provide technical input and scope development for operations, projects, and turnarounds.

Complete all written and electronic records (i.e., work orders, calibration sheets, timecards, material requests) required to document work in progress and completed.

Consult manufacturer’s manuals, circuit diagrams, and blueprints to determine tests and maintenance procedures.

Perform pipeline operational duties.

Execute line-locating and ground disturbance activities.

Provide rail loading support.
