Position
Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer with a strong background in hydropower systems and civil engineering to
join ourdynamicteam
. The successful candidate will play a key role in the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems for hydropower projects, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Designing electrical systems for hydropower projects, including power generation, transmission, and distribution systems.
Conducting feasibility studies and site assessments to determine project viability and electrical requirements.
Collaborating with
interdisciplinary
teams to integrate electrical systems with civil engineering designs.
Performing risk assessments and troubleshooting electrical issues during project implementation.
Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and safety standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Providing technical expertise and support to project managers and clients.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on hydropower systems.
Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices.
Proficiency in electrical design software and simulation tools.
Experience with
regulatory requirements and permitting processes for hydropower projects.
Excellent
communication
and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a
team environment

Professional engineering designation (P.Eng) in British Columbia is preferred.
