We’re seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our growing team in Halifax. This role involves designing and managing electrical systems for commercial buildings
, light industrial facilities
, and complex projects across Atlantic Canada.
Key Responsibilities
Design and specify electrical systems for buildings, including:
Power distribution
, essential power systems (generators, UPS), grounding design.
Telecommunications
, data systems, security, and fire alarm systems.
Lighting and lighting control systems
.
Conduct building condition assessments and options evaluations.
Estimate construction costs and develop project documentation.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure accurate and efficient designs.
Qualifications
Professional Engineer ( licensed with Engineers Nova Scotia.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
.
7+ years of experience in electrical design for building systems.
Familiarity with Nova Scotia market is an asset.
Proficiency in Revit
, AutoCAD
, and Microsoft Office
.
Proficiency with AGi
32 lighting design software.
Experience with
SKM Power Tools software is an asset.
Strong knowledge of Canadian Building Codes
, Canadian Electrical Code, electrical standards, and best practices.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
