We are looking for an Electrical Designer to design electrical control systems and schematics for custom automation equipment.
What you’ll do:
Provide electrical design solutions for small to large scale complex projects.
Review quotations to understand client requirements, determine project direction, and required project features.
Design to comply with relevant Machine Safety Standards Collaborate with the Sales Team, Project Manager, Customer, and other departments to achieve project goals.
Keep well-informed with new technologies and research new processes and methodologies.
Contribute ideas and
leadership
for
Continuous Improvement
projects that improve the department’s operation and efficiency.
Occasional travel as required globally.
What you’ll need:
Minimum, Bachelor/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent specialized experience5+ years of Electrical Design experience
Proficiency with EPLAN (or AutoCAD Electrical experience)
Working Knowledge and understanding of Electrical Safety Codes Experience contributing to Machine Safety Risk Assessments Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Good understanding of pneumatics and fluid power engineering
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing concepts
Strong
communication
