The Schedule
- The Hours: Steady 19:00 to 07:30 night shifts.

Clinical Scope: Elite Mechanical & Surgical Autonomy
You will serve as the premier clinical line of defense across a multi-system organ failure matrix:
- Advanced Circuit & Device Command: Drive nurse-driven ECMO protocols, manage circuit integrity, track Activated Clotting Times (ACT), and handle emergency troubleshooting. You will simultaneously manage Impella platforms, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps (IABP), and Ventricular Assist Devices (LVAD/RVAD).
- Immediate Post-Op Recovery: Receive fresh open-heart surgeries directly from the OR, managing complex CABGs, Valve Repairs/Replacements, and Heart Transplants.
- Advanced Hemodynamics & Vasoactives: Formulate clinical decisions using Swan-Ganz pulmonary artery lines, FloTrac/Vigileo monitoring, and epicardial pacing wire care. Flawlessly titrate complex cardiac/vasoactive infusions, continuous paralytics, and continuous sedation.
- Multi-System Support: Manage full mechanical ventilator layouts, interpret ABGs, oversee CRRT/CVVHD lines, and execute neuro-tracking including EVD, ICP monitoring, and Arctic Sun hypothermia protocols.
What You Bring to the Unit
The facility has established non-negotiable experience guardrails for this advanced role:
- ECMO Core Requirement: Minimum of 2 full years of dedicated experience functioning as an ECMO Specialist (direct circuit management). Must be fully ECMO trained.
- ICU Foundation: 3 or more years of high-acuity CVICU/ICU experience is highly preferred to ensure seamless floating transitions to CICU/CVICU beds.
- Required Certifications: Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (AHA).
- Preferred Certifications: CES-A (Certified ECMO Specialist – Adult) or E-AEC (ELSO Adult ECMO Certification).
Pay: $3,611.00 – $3,715.00 per week
