We are looking for a Part-time Early Childhood Educator (ECE) with availability to work Mondays and Fridays 7:45 AM – 3:45 PM (until June) and Mondays – Fridays 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM (July and August) with the possibility of additional hours in Fall 2026. Weekend availability as needed.

Duties & Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Children’s Center Manager to provide high quality care for children ages 0-3
Lead engaging programs that meet the highest standards of excellence
Ensure children are learning and engaged
Prepare and maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom setting
Maintain welcoming, respectful, and communicative relationships with children, families, and members
Use positive and respectful child guidance techniques that help develop self-esteem, independence, good decision making, and trust
Design and implement curriculum for specific subjects and age appropriate activities
Utilize prepared resources and materials to deliver high quality programs and curriculums
Supervise and participate in outdoor play and physical activities
Support other children’s programs as needed by stepping in as a substitute
Participating in events, field trips, and special activities
Requirements & Qualifications
Valid BC Early Child Educator Certification/License is required.
Must have current Child First Aid and CPR Certification
Must have a Clear Criminal Record Review by the Ministry of Education
Up-to-date Immunization Record, including proof of COVID-19 Vaccination
At least three (3) year experience working with children ages 0-3 in a daycare setting
Ability to plan and implement age appropriate activities
Experience in a Montessori environment is an asset
Experience in a play-based, Reggio Emilia, or Waldorf approaches is an asset
Excellent planning, organization, and communication skills
Ability to lead both academic and play-based programs independently or with groups of children of varying ages and abilities
Comfortable feeding, changing and handling infants and toddlers aged 0 – 3 years old
At least three (3) professional references or letters of recommendation, related to the field
