Job Title: Now Hiring: Direct Support Professionals — Pediatric & Adult In-Home Support — Greene County, VA
Job Type: Full-time and part-time positions available · No overnight shifts
Pay: $21–25 per hour (depending on experience and certifications), plus mileage reimbursement
Location: Greene County, VA (Stanardsville, Ruckersville, Dyke, Quinque, Lydia, and surrounding areas)
Schedule: Days, evenings, and weekends — schedule built around the case match and your availability. No overnight shifts at this time.
Greene County families have limited options for in-home support. We’re changing that for start in June
Amore Care Supports is building our team in Greene County to better serve children, teens, and adults with developmental disabilities and their families. Right now, families in this area have very few choices for quality in-home support — and we’re growing here to fill that gap.
We’re hiring Direct Support Professionals now to be ready as cases become available. Apply today and you’ll be matched with a client whose schedule, location, and needs fit yours when the right case comes in. We hire for fit, not just to fill a slot.
Who we serve:
- Children with autism and developmental disabilities
- Teens and transition-age youth working on independence and life skills
- Adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities living at home
- Families needing reliable, trained, and consistent in-home support
What you’ll do:
- Provide one-on-one support in clients’ homes and in the community
- Support daily living skills, social skills, communication, and community involvement
- Help with self-care, mobility, and other supports as the plan calls for
- Engage clients in meaningful, age-appropriate activities
- Provide safe transportation as needed (mileage reimbursed)
- Document each shift accurately and communicate with the family and supervisor
What we’re looking for:
- Must be 18 or older with a high school diploma or GED
- Valid Virginia driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and auto insurance
- Able to pass a criminal background check, TB screening, and drug screen
- Patience, reliability, and a genuine interest in this kind of work
- Lives in or near Greene County (or in nearby Charlottesville, Madison, Orange or Albemarle areas with a reasonable commute)
- Open availability is a major plus — flexibility helps us match you faster
Bonus if you have:
- Experience supporting individuals with autism, IDD, or behavioral health needs
- Pediatric experience (for child cases) or adult caregiving experience (for adult cases)
- CPR/First Aid certification, DSP training, or CNA/PCA background
- Bilingual skills (Spanish, ASL, or other)
