Full job description
Waste Control Service (WCS) is a private, locally owned, and operated waste and recycling collections company offering solutions for sustainable management of all things waste. We offer collection services and consultation for both residential communities as well as commercial, industrial, and institutional organizations exclusively in the Greater Vancouver region.
WCS is currently looking to add a full-time Rear Load Driver to our fast paced, energetic, and passionate service team. We are hiring for an individual for residential curbside collections for the district of West Vancouver. This job originates out of our Coquitlam facility and travels to West Vancouver daily to provide service.
What we offer
The position offers a 4 day work week.This is a Monday – Thursday full-time positionand scheduled between the hours of 6:00AM – 4:00PM daily with occasional variation to the start and finish times as required and occasional Fridays required
The role will be both driving a collecting of municipal and commercial garbage and organics operating a class 3 rear load garbage truck
Full Route Orientation and training will be provided. We offer competitive pay , company paid benefits and a great working environment.
Requirements
Class 3 drivers license
Experience in the Waste Management Industry is preferred however will provide additional training to the right candidate.
Driver’s abstract with no contraventions
Ability to perform physically demanding job-lift 50 pounds
Ability to work outside in all conditions while maintaining a positive and respectful work atmosphere with co-workers.
