Full job description
Part of the Family Pet Memorial Centre, located in Sturgeon County, Alberta, is a full-service pet cremation facility that serves and assists families through the loss of their pet.
We are seeking a mature, hardworking team player for immediate hire. The duties will include the transfer of pets from veterinary practices and client’s homes with possible training in the crematorium operations, A strong sense of customer service and professionalism is required.
This a full time position that requires someone that is available approximately 28-40 hours per week.
We are seeking an individual with the following qualifications:
·Must be able to lift 100 lbs unassisted
· Able to maintain focus, professionalism and a positive demeanor under any circumstance
· Have constant and consistent attention to detail and the ability to multitask and learn quickly
· Be sympathetic and respectful towards the feelings of pet loss and must treat each pet with dignity and respect
· Have strong communication skills both orally and written (legible handwriting is a must)
· Comfortable with basic computer skills
· Knowledge of the City of Edmonton and surrounding areas is a must
· Be able to work well as a teamandindependently
· Must have good customer service skills and be understanding of client’s who are experiencing grief
·A clean, professional and neat appearance
·A valid drivers license, a clean driving record and no criminal history
The right individual will be responsible for transferring deceased pets to our facility (from places of loss including veterinary practices and private homes) and returning memorialized cremated remains to veterinary practices. They may eventually also be required to learn how to operate our pet crematorium and abide to our high standard of pet cremation processes and procedures. This position will include but not be limited to:
· Handling of pet remains and cremated remains with dignity and respect
· Placement of cremated remains into urns and cremation jewellery
· Assist with the intake of pets and provide customer service as needed
· Completion of daily paperwork
· Daily light facility cleaning (floors, dusting) will be required
· Vehicle preparation and cleaning required as needed
· This position requires a fair amount of driving in and around the Edmonton area
Training is provided and there is a 90 day probation period. Part of the Family Pet Memorial Centre provides 24/7 service to our clients.

Salary: $20 – $23.00

Required Experience:
· Customer Service: minimum of 2 years
· Driving: minimum of 2 years
