Additional Qualifications
Education
The Driver will have completed grade 12 education or better is required
A valid Full G license and clean driving record is required and must be maintained is required
Must have experience working with seniors, preferably in social services, recreation, or a related discipline is required
Skills
Must demonstrate safe lifting up to 50 lbs (walkers and/or wheelchairs) and to support residents up to 175 lbs while assisting into the vehicle
relates well to residents, their families, volunteers, and the community at large
Proven ability to schedule appointments in an effective and planned manner as to ensure efficient use of time and gasoline
Demonstrated organizational and interpersonal skills, showing initiative and problem-solving skills
Proven ability to use time effectively and efficiently while working independently with minimum supervision
Must be flexible and versatile to ensure operational needs are achieved
A team player
A people-person with a heart for seniors and a positive, outgoing disposition
