Dockworker with CDL A – Warehouse & Delivery
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dependable, safety-focused Dockworker with CDL A to support warehouse and delivery operations. This role combines dock work with local driving responsibilities, ensuring freight is loaded, handled, and delivered safely, efficiently, and on time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate yard trucks to support dock and warehouse movement
- Print and manage Bills of Lading (BOL) for daily deliveries
- Process damaged, penny, and RTV merchandise
- Load, unload, and stage freight using forklifts and other equipment
- Secure shipments for transport and verify accuracy upon arrival/departure
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report maintenance issues
- Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle for deliveries as needed
- Maintain accurate logs for hours, routes, and cargo conditions
- Follow all DOT, company, and safety regulations at all times
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding schedules and delays
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe dock environment
Qualifications:
- Valid Class A CDL (in state of residence)
- Required endorsements: Hazmat, Tanker, and Doubles
- Forklift certification required
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Must meet all DOT and company compliance requirements
- Ability to safely perform all essential job functions
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Strong organization and time management skills
