National Distributor of Exterior Building Products
District Manager – Northern & Eastern Ontario
Based in Ottawa, ON
DMC Recruitment has partnered with a National Distributor of Exterior Building Products (roofing, cladding, insulation, siding, tools) in search of an engaging and results-oriented District Manager to lead strategic business development and provide sales and operational support to multiple branch locations across Northern & Eastern Ontario.
Reporting to senior management, the District Manager will lead growth objectives, support sales and operations, and execute necessary actions to improve workflow processes, gross profits and operating income to meet corporate objectives and goals.
Responsibilities
Oversee multi-branch operations ensuring operational and service standards are met:
Work with each branch team to strategically grow the business and efficiently run the day-to-day operations;
Mentor, coach and train Branch Managers on the budgeting process, P & L understanding, labour management, profit and performance, customer loyalty and inventory management;
Ensure branches comply with company policies, procedures and legislative safety requirements;
Embrace a hands-on approach, balancing leadership with team support, ensuring exceptional customer service and operational excellence;
Actively engage in relationship-building with key customers, stakeholder and suppliers;
Oversee the order process, materials management, and any special projects;
Ensure optimal performance of warehousing and equipment including safety practices;
Foster continuous improvement to create an efficient and effective operation while ensuring safety first environment;
Work from Ottawa-based branch with 30% travel required
Skills:
Multi-branch leadership, management and sales experience in building envelope industry experience preferred;
Analytical thinker and proven strategy development experience;
Experience managing multiple locations preferred
Collaborative leadership style
Entrepreneurial mindset and results-oriented approach
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Able to travel 30%
Valid driver’s license
