The opportunity:

The Faculty of Arts, Dean’s Office at the University of Manitoba is looking for a Distance & Online Course Delivery Support. This position is primarily responsible for assisting with online and Distance exam administration, maintaining accurate and up-to-date textbook information as well as setting up course materials in the Learning Management System.

The qualifications and experience we’re looking for:

Completion of a formal training program in a related discipline from a recognized institution required.

Three years of directly-related experience required.

Experience working with Learning Management Systems including creating and editing content, setting up navigation structures, and managing course files is required.

Experience working with databases is an asset.

An acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Must be proficient with learning management systems.

Ability to effectively manage administrative tasks Excellent organizational skills.

Demonstrated ability to proactively identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Demonstrated experience coordinating concurrent projects and juggling multiple priorities is required.

Must have strong analysis and problem-resolution skills.

Proven ability to communicate in written and verbal form is required.

Knowledge of digital processes, techniques and technologies is required.

Demonstrated ability to act positively and efficiently under pressure is required.

Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with team members, faculty and staff is required.

Demonstrated ability to think strategically and act tactically is required.

Must be proficient with Microsoft Office 365.

Satisfactory work record, including satisfactory attendance and punctuality, is required.
