As a Dispatcher, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and managing the logistics of our supply chain operations. – Receive and prioritize incoming calls from customers and suppliers
– Coordinate with drivers and warehouse personnel to schedule pickups and deliveries
– Analyze delivery routes to optimize efficiency and minimize costs
– Enter data into the AS400 system accurately and efficiently
– Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and suppliers to provide updates on shipment status
– Monitor freight movement to ensure on-time delivery
– Resolve any issues or delays that may arise during transportation
– Maintain accurate records of all dispatch activities

– Proficiency in using SyteLine or similar supply chain management software
– Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills
– Familiarity with various phone systems and their functionalities
– Strong analytical skills to assess delivery routes and make necessary adjustments
– Typing speed and accuracy for efficient data entry into the AS400 system
– Effective communication skills to relay information clearly and concisely
– Knowledge of freight transportation processes and regulations
– Attention to detail to ensure accurate record keeping
