Sunday – Tuesday 5:00p – 5:00a with night differential pay
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our team. As a Dispatcher, you will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling transportation services, and providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to analyze and solve problems efficiently.
Responsibilities:
– Analyze transportation management systems to determine the most efficient routes
– Communicate with drivers, providing them with necessary instructions and updates
– Utilize GPS to track vehicles and monitor their progress
– Dispatch drivers to appropriate locations based on customer needs
– Monitor driver performance and address any issues or concerns that may arise
Skills:
– Strong analytical skills with the ability to make quick decisions based on available information
– Proficient in transportation management systems
– Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
– Ability to type quickly and accurately
– Knowledge of dispatching procedures and best practices
– Familiarity with shipping/receiving processes
