Full job description

– Receive and analyze customer orders for accuracy and completeness
– Coordinate with drivers and carriers to schedule and track shipments
– Manage inventory and track shipments
– Communicate with customers to provide updates on shipment status
– Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to shipments or deliveries
– Perform data entry tasks to ensure accurate record keeping
– Collaborate with the supply chain team to optimize transportation processes

– Previous experience as a dispatcher or in a similar role preferred
– Knowledge of operations and freight management
– Familiarity with phone systems and ability to handle high call volumes
– Strong analytical skills to assess shipment data and make informed decisions
– Understanding of supply chain principles and logistics operations
– Accurate typing skills for efficient data entry tasks
– Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes
