Overview
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Dishwasher / Kitchen Helper to join our team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role is essential to keeping the kitchen clean, organized, and running efficiently. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to support the kitchen team wherever needed.
Responsibilities
Wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment promptly and thoroughly
Maintain cleanliness and organization of dishwashing area, kitchen stations, storage areas, and garbage/recycling areas
Support food preparation tasks as directed, including chopping, peeling, portioning, and basic prep work
Restock kitchen supplies, ingredients, and cleaning materials as needed
Assist with receiving and storing deliveries properly
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures at all times
Help kitchen staff during busy service periods with general support duties Sweep, mop, and maintain clean floors and work areas throughout shifts
Remove garbage and recycling regularly to keep the kitchen sanitary
Qualifications
Previous dishwasher, kitchen helper, or restaurant experience is required
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and detail
Dependable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
Willingness to learn and take direction from supervisors
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and carrying items as needed
Weekend availability is a must
Holiday availability is an asset
