As a Dishwasher on our Food Services team, you’ll help keep our kitchens safe, clean, organized, and ready to serve students and staff every day. The work you do behind the scenes directly supports students with severe neurodevelopmental disabilities, helping create a stable, welcoming environment where they can thrive.
No experience? No problem — we’ll train you!
You’ll work throughout our private school campus in the Main Kitchen, School Kitchen, dish room, serving areas, and other assigned locations. This role is hands-on, active, and incredibly important to the daily life of our school community.
About Crotched Mountain School…
Nestled in the beautiful Monadnock region of New Hampshire, Crotched Mountain School offers a therapeutic and adventure-based environment for learners. Our expansive campus features hiking trails, lakes, an Olympic-sized pool, a media center, a bowling alley, and a panoramic library — all designed to help students grow socially, academically, and emotionally.
Over the past three years, Seven Hills has been revitalizing this historic program: expanding services, welcoming new students, and building a passionate team of clinicians, educators, and caregivers who make extraordinary things possible for youth with severe neurodevelopmental disabilities.
What You’ll Do…
- Keep dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment clean, sanitized, and ready to use
- Operate and maintain the dish machine safely and properly
- Help open and close the dish room each day
- Keep kitchen and dish areas spotless by sweeping, mopping, wiping surfaces, and taking out trash
- Help maintain sanitation and food safety standards
- Organize clean dishes and supplies so the kitchen runs smoothly
- Assist with basic food prep, stocking, labeling, and food deliveries when needed
- Jump in where needed because teamwork keeps everything moving
What We’re Looking For…
- No experience required — we’ll teach you everything you need to know
- You’re dependable, hardworking, and take pride in keeping things clean and organized
- You’re comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- You can read and write
- You feel comfortable working in a unique school environment that supports students with severe neurodevelopmental disabilities, including nonverbal students with autism with complex medical or behavioral needs.
