Job Summary
We are hiring General Utility Workers to support food service operations by ensuring a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, thrive in a fast-paced setting, and are committed to maintaining high sanitation and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, food preparation, and service areas.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
- Dispose of waste and recycling according to company guidelines.
- Assist with general kitchen support duties as assigned.
- Keep workstations organized and stocked.
- Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely while wearing required PPE.
- Support team members to ensure efficient daily operations.
Required Qualifications
- Basic understanding of sanitation and cleaning procedures.
- Ability to follow safety policies and procedures.
- Comfortable working around cleaning chemicals and kitchen equipment.
- Ability to lift, bend, push, pull, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Previous experience in housekeeping, dishwashing, janitorial, kitchen utility, or food service is an asset but not required.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing and walking.
- Lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling throughout the shift.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and uniforms.
Background Check
- Successful completion of a Criminal Record Check is required in accordance with local regulations.
