• Perform all duties and promote themselves in a manner that reflects Formet Expectations and Formet’s Visions/Values through Magna’s Employee Charter.
• Follow and abide by all government, Legal, Magna and Formet rules and regulations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and cost reduction activities.
• Manage medical surveillance programs such as audiometric testing and forklift medicals.
• Maintains well-stocked emergency response equipment. Ensures that First Aid supplies are well stocked, especially for all shifts.
• Work with onsite services (counsellor, physiotherapy) to schedule appointments.
• Schedule routine medical appointments and communicate information.
• Assist departments with identifying, evaluating and implementing accommodations and return to work options for team members with restricted duties for all injuries; develop and manage appropriate Modified Work and Return to Work plans.
• Manage STA/LTD claims ensuring open communication between benefits provider, Health Centre and leadership as required.
• Assists team members with injuries. Monitor the recovery process and contact treating physicians as necessary.
• Performs periodic health assessments as required and makes any necessary additional medical referrals and/or EFAP or other agencies when necessary.
• Participate in Wellness activities; promote and encourage wellness programs; work with Magna Wellness Team on event programing and promotions.
• Maintain complete records with respect to data entry into designated programs (e.g. HSELinx, Parklane)
• Maintain organized and confidential accurate health files and reports for statistical purposes and records.
• Perform other duties as designated.
