Description
Reporting to the General Manager, your key responsibilities will be:
Develop and execute production plans to meet customer demands efficiently.
Collaborate closely with the NAM Sales team for seamless coordination.
Lead a team almost 50 (non-union) employees, setting performance goals and fostering development.
Establish and enforce stringent quality control standards.
Continuously evaluate and enhance production processes for maximum efficiency.
Identify and address bottlenecks for smoother operations.
Monitor and optimize inventory levels, collaborating with suppliers.
Manage receiving processes and ensure a steady supply chain.
Prioritize and enforce safety protocols for a secure working environment and conduct regular safety training and address potential hazards promptly.
Effectively manage production budgets for optimal cost-effectiveness.
Identify opportunities for cost-saving measures while maintaining quality.
Communicate production progress, delays, and relevant information.
Implement and monitor KPIs for production and employee productivity.
Analyze data and trends to identify areas for improvement.
Lead continuous improvement projects throughout production and order processes.
Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and initiatives to drive innovation.
Profile
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Manufacturing or related field.
Proven experience in plant/production management within machinery fabrication or equipment industry.
Lean Six Sigma certification is an asset.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Proficiency in production management and ERP software.
Knowledge of quality management systems and ISO 9001 certification desired.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to workplace safety and compliance.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
