About the Role
This position will focus on driving platform stability, security, and innovation, ensuring compliance with banking regulations. These positions require a blend of technical expertise and leadership to manage high-performing teams, typically in complex, regulated environments.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement technical roadmaps, API management strategies, and system designs to optimize performance.
- Platform Management: Oversee the stability, security, and modernization of internal and customer-facing technology platforms.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor technical resources (20+ members) in development, QA, and operations.
- Vendor/Stakeholder Management: Manage relationships for compliance and support, partnering with business stakeholders to align technology with business goals.
- Risk & Compliance: Implement the Risk Management Framework, adhering to data security policies and regulatory requirements (e.g., SOC2).
- Innovation: Drive adoption of new technologies, including AI/ML and cloud solutions (AWS/Azure).
Qualifications
- Experience: 12+ years of relevant technology experience, with 7+ years in a leadership role within a highly regulated environment, preferably banking or financial services.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of system design, backend development (Java/Spring), modern frontend frameworks (Angular), and Cloud (AWS/Azure).
- Education: A post-secondary degree in a related field is typically required.
- Expertise in API management, DevOps, and UI/UX design.
