Our client, a leading organization in the Vaughan area, is actively seeking an experienced Director of Finance to join their dynamic team. This key leadership role will report to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and will be instrumental in driving financial strategies, budgeting, forecasting, and business growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Strategy and Planning:
Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with organizational goals.
Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process, collaborating with department heads.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Oversee the creation, management, and analysis of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
Work closely with business units to ensure budgetary compliance and provide variance analysis.
Business Partnering:
Act as a strategic partner to operations and sales teams to drive business growth.
Provide financial insights, guidance, and recommendations to support key business decisions.
Financial Analysis:
Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership for informed decision-making.
Cost Management:
Partner with operational teams to optimize costs and improve overall efficiency.
Implement cost control measures to enhance profitability.
Collaboration and Communication:
Foster effective communication and collaboration between finance, operations, and sales.
Ensure a clear understanding of financial implications related to business strategies.
Process Improvement:
Continuously evaluate and enhance financial processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Implement best practices in financial planning and analysis.
Leadership and Team Development:
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team.
Foster a collaborative and results-oriented team culture.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA designation is a plus.
Proven experience in a senior finance role with a focus on budgeting, forecasting, and business partnering.
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Demonstrated leadership skills with a track record of successfully partnering with cross-functional teams.
Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting tools.
Experience in driving financial strategies to support business growth.
