Our client, a growing and well-established player in the wealth management space, is seeking a Director, Business Development to join their team. This is a high-impact, sales-focused role centred on recruiting financial advisors and expanding a national advisor network within an advisor-first, entrepreneurial environment.

What you’ll be doing:
- Drive advisor recruitment across Eastern Canada, with a strong focus on the Toronto market
- Build and manage a robust pipeline of prospective advisors through networking, outreach, and referrals
- Own the full recruitment lifecycle including prospecting, relationship development, due diligence, and onboarding coordination
- Develop and present a compelling value proposition to independent financial advisors and advisory teams
- Analyze advisor books of business to assess fit and opportunity
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth advisor transitions and onboarding
- Stay current on industry trends, competitive landscape, and advisor needs
What we’re looking for:
- 5-7 years of experience in sales, wealth management, financial services, or a related field
- Strong financial literacy- experience working with financial advisors, broker-dealers, or investment platforms
- Strong sales and business development mindset with a proven ability to build relationships from scratch
- Ability to manage long, complex sales cycles and build trust with sophisticated stakeholders
- Strong communication, presentation, and analytical skills
- Comfort operating in a highly autonomous, entrepreneurial environment
Nice to have:
- Experience within a dealer or broker-dealer environment
- Industry designations such as CSC or similar
- Background in advisor recruitment or wholesaling
