As the Director, Equity Research, of the Equity Income team, an investment team at Scotia Global Asset Management, you will be responsible for people management with a focus on strategic team management, planning, and coaching of the team of Analysts on the EIT. Success in this role will be measured by the degree to which your efforts in building and managing stronger and more effective high performance analysts and APMs who directly contribute to the EIT PM’s ability to generate net new Alpha.
You will
form part of the
leadership
team of the EIT, contributing to overall team direction and initiatives.
You will
have dual reporting responsibilities to the Co-heads of the Equity Income Team.
You will
build and maintain a high-performance investing environment and implement a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops, and motivates the team by fostering an
inclusive
work environment
; communicating vison/values/business strategy and managing succession and development planning for the team. Is this role right for you? In this role, you will oversee:

and mentorship of a team of Analysts and Associate Portfolio Managers Team monitoring and performance assessment based on quantifiable investment criteria. Investment research

We’d love to work with you if you have:
Undergraduate degree in a related field (Business, Finance, Accounting, etc.) CFA designation Minimum 10 years of industry experience in Asset Management Superior analytical, evaluative, and
problem-solving
abilities Persuasive verbal and written
communication skills
, including the ability to build credibility and trust with colleagues and clients and communicate ideas effectively. Excellent organizational and time management skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines.
Ability to
interact with multiple stakeholders, internally and externally.
Experience with
mentorship and training of fundamental equity research Has managed portfolios and mutual funds with a track record of positive returns. Location(s):
