The Director, Business Technology, will be a key member of the leadership team and will play an important role in shaping the company’s next stage of growth.

Key Responsibilities

IT Governance and Strategy

  • Own the company-wide technology roadmap for Infor CSD/ISM, Microsoft 365, and core applications; set priorities with finance, operations, and business leaders.
  • Manage the IT budget, negotiate with vendors and managed service providers, and deliver clear executive-ready progress updates.

ERP, Business Technologies and Data Management

  • Lead BI reporting and analysis using Infor CSD and Phocas; design reliable, real-time dashboards and metrics for business leaders.
  • Drive data quality, workflow automation, and system integrations; lead upgrades, testing, and change management to protect data integrity and business continuity.
  • Support digital transformation initiatives including the launch of an e-commerce platform and going paperless.

IT Infrastructure and Operations

  • Maintain reliable networks, servers, storage, and connectivity across all locations; manage hardware and software lifecycle and vendor commitments.
  • Ensure secure remote access, tested backups, and a practical disaster recovery plan are always in place.

Cybersecurity and Compliance

  • Operate a risk-based security program covering identity protection, multi-factor authentication, threat prevention, and access governance.
  • Maintain an incident response plan and coordinate investigation, communication, and recovery activities when needed.

Technical and Helpdesk Support

  • Lead the Helpdesk Team to deliver timely, high-quality support to all employees; maintain clear escalation processes and agreed service levels.
  • Oversee employee onboarding and offboarding, staff training, and a searchable knowledge base.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience illustrating financial and operational acumen when partnering with executives and operational leaders on business tech projects.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration, cybersecurity, and service management practices, including incident response and change management.
  • Progressive leadership experience in business technology in a growing organization, with direct ownership of ERP systems and BI delivery.
  • Experience with Infor CSD/ISM or similar ERP platforms and BI tools such as Phocas is an asset.
  • Proven ability to translate operational needs into system enhancements and reliable reporting.
  • Proven ability to communicate and partner with executives, operational leaders, and front-line staff to optimize the use of business technologies.
  • A combination of formal education and relevant certifications is welcome but not required if you show strong, practical results.
