Job Summary
Join our compassionate team as a Direct Caregiver, where you will provide attentive, personalized care to residents in a supportive and nurturing environment. With a patient-to-caregiver ratio of 1 to 4, you will have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships while ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of each individual. Your role is vital in creating a warm, respectful atmosphere that promotes independence and dignity for residents with diverse needs, including those requiring memory care, dementia support, or assistance with daily activities. Duties

  • Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
  • Monitor residents’ health status by observing vital signs and recognizing changes in condition
  • Administer medications accurately following care plans and HIPAA confidentiality standards
  • Support residents with meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring proper nutrition
  • Maintain cleanliness of resident rooms and common areas through regular cleaning and sanitation practices
  • Use specialized equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident’s personal assistive devices to ensure safe transfers
  • Document observations, care activities, and any incidents thoroughly in compliance with healthcare regulations
  • Engage residents in social activities and provide companionship to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being

Qualifications

  • Prior experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, group homes, or home & community care settings is highly preferred
  • Certification in First Aid and CPR required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training are a plus
  • Knowledge of Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, memory support techniques, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is advantageous
  • Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physical tasks associated with patient monitoring and mobility assistance
  • Strong observational skills for patient safety and health status updates
  • Experience with medication administration, care plans development, and patient monitoring protocols
  • Compassionate attitude combined with excellent communication skills to foster trust and rapport with residents and team members

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 – $19.00 per hour
