Overview
Digital Marketing Intern Jobs in Toronto, Ontario, Canada at Preloom
Title: Digital Marketing Intern
Company: Preloom
Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada
Company Description
Preloom is the shopping agent that learns what you love. Instead of endless scrolling and guessing what to buy, Preloom surfaces the brands and pieces actually worth your time — and tells the brands you love what you actually want them to make. Less noise, less waste, more wearing what you genuinely want. We're building the future of fashion: one where what gets made is shaped by what people actually want, not guesswork.
Role Description
Preloom's Marketing Intern will be the first marketing hire — the person who builds our consumer community from zero before we open the doors. You'll be the face and voice of Preloom on social, building an audience of fashion-forward consumers who'll be there waiting on launch day.
You'll own social, content creation, and waitlist growth from day one, working directly with the founder on a small, fast-moving team. The role is hybrid, based in Toronto, with two in-person days per week so we can shoot content, work through the week's plan, and move fast together. We're 3–4 months out from public launch, and the audience you build in that window determines how strong our launch lands.
This is a paid part-time internship with a two-month trial period. Strong performance will lead to a promotion to full-time Marketing Coordinator with a salary and equity.
What We're Looking For
- Camera-confident — you're comfortable being on camera, doing voice-overs, and putting your face on our Instagram and TikTok feeds. This isn't optional; it's central to the role.
- Hands-on editor — you can independently edit short-form video (TikToks, Reels) and design static posts and carousels for Instagram. You shoot it, you cut it, you post it. No outsourcing, no waiting on a designer.
- Native fluency on TikTok and Instagram — you live on these platforms and know what works on each
- Proven audience-building — you've personally grown a social account (yours or someone else's) and can show the analytics
- Fashion instinct — you can name emerging brands off the top of your head and articulate why they're interesting
- Bias toward execution — you'd rather ship three rough things this week than one polished thing in three weeks
Qualifications
- Willing and confident to appear on camera regularly — talking-head content, voice-overs, and short form videos
- Strong short-form video editing skills — comfortable cutting TikToks and Reels in CapCut, InShot, or similar; able to handle pacing, captions, transitions, and trending audio without supervision
- Solid static design skills — you can build clean, on-brand Instagram posts and carousels in Canva, Figma, or similar
- Demonstrated experience growing a social media presence organically; able to share account links and performance data
- Strong copywriting instincts — short-form caption writing, hook construction, and platform-native voice
- Comfortable working independently with high ownership and minimal oversight; takes feedback fast and iterates
- A genuine, demonstrable interest in independent and emerging fashion brands — not just luxury or fast fashion
- Prior experience interning at a DTC, fashion, or early-stage consumer brand is a plus but not required
Compensation: Paid hourly during the two-month trial period. Full-time salary plus equity offered upon promotion to Marketing Coordinator.
