We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Die Setter to join our manufacturing team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for setting up, adjusting, and maintaining die tools used in the production process to ensure efficient and precise manufacturing of metal components. Your expertise will help optimize production runs, uphold quality standards, and contribute to the overall success of our manufacturing operations. Responsibilities
Omni Manufacturing, Inc. is looking for an experienced Die Setter/ Set-up Personnel to support our 1st shift production at our metal stamping facility.
A qualified individual must be able to:
- Read and understand blueprints
- Changeover dies and fixtures in equipment
- Perform basic math skills
- Correctly operate measuring devices
- Have good finger and hand dexterity
- Assist production by troubleshooting process problems and providing technical support
- Obtain manufacturing process books as required
- Set-up dies and production presses
- Set and install dies to proper shut heights
- Set proper alignment of material
- Set correct progression
- Install part chutes, slides, and conveyors
- Maintain a forklift license
- Run production when required / fill in for material handler when needed
- Sign off on first piece to indicate job is ready for production
- Ensure quality before releasing to production
- Help with clean-up as needed
- Work in extreme temperatures
Requirements
- Have 6+ years experience in die setting
- Have 10+ years experience operating a forklift
- Experience in lifting up to 15,000 pounds is preferred.
- Possess knowledge of press functions
- Possess mechanical abilities
- Possess knowledge of electrical circuits and controls
- Possess great communication and teamwork skills
Pay: $24.00 – $27.00 per hour
