Full Time shift available over 7 days a week (Days, Evenings, and Weekends).

SJGHEL is comprised of three (3) facilities and 187 beds; a 55-bed Acute Care Hospital, a 64-bed Long-Term Care Centre (The Manor), and a 68-bed Addictions Treatment Centre (The Oaks Centre).

Required Qualifications:

Diagnostic Medical Sonography diploma from an accredited program

Abilities/Skills/Knowledge:

Conduct ultrasound examinations, ensuring proper patient identification, preparation, and transducer selection for optimal imaging.
Promote patient safety and a healthy work environment by following established protocols, infection control standards, and workplace safety regulations.
Ensure compliance with CMRITO guidelines, HARP regulations, ARDMS guidelines and departmental policies and safety standards, reporting any equipment failures or safety concerns to the Charge Technologist.
Maintain accurate documentation, including patient records, quality control results, and compliance reports, while ensuring confidentiality.
Foster a collaborative work environment by sharing relevant information with colleagues, participating in staff meetings, and maintaining professional relationships with medical staff and patients.
Excellent communication skills; proven ability to deal with the public
Demonstrated ability to assist with patient navigation

Assets:

Echocardiography experience
Working knowledge of PACS and Meditech systems
Ability to speak French

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $37.58-$52.81 per hour
