Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our family owned practice. We have several general dentists and an orthodontist and periodontist on our team. We are a very friendly office with long time patients and looking for someone who is interested in being part of our friendly dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in dental assisting procedures, excellent patient care skills, and the ability to support a variety of dental specialties including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and periodontics. This role offers an engaging environment where you will play a vital part in delivering exceptional dental care while ensuring smooth clinic operations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental materials, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly in accordance with infection control protocols.
- Assist dentists during various procedures by providing chairside support, handling dental instruments, and managing patient comfort.
- Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced imaging technology such as 3D scanners and medical imaging equipment while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.
- Perform vital signs assessments and monitor patient health status before procedures to ensure safety standards are met.
- Uphold aseptic techniques and infection control standards to prevent cross-contamination within the clinic environment.
- Collaborate with the dental team on four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize efficiency during procedures.
Experience
- Prior experience working in a dental clinic environment with proficiency in dental assisting tasks is helpful.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and best practices for patient confidentiality.
- Experience performing X-ray procedures, including 3D scans and medical imaging techniques, is highly desirable..
- Understanding of dental terminology, and documentation practices related to dental procedures is preferred.

Pay: $20.00 – $26.00 per hour
