Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and professionalism in all interactions.
Duties
- Operate delivery vehicles, including pick up trucks and flat bed trucks, to transport goods to various locations.
- Prepare items for shipment.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring that items are secured properly for transport.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and ensure timely deliveries according to schedule.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Utilize warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and fork lifts when necessary for loading and unloading tasks.
- Review and inspect custom metal while comparing parts to blueprints to ensure accuracy and completion of parts before delivery.
Qualifications
- Experience as a delivery driver is preferred.
- Experience reading blueprints is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is essential.
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety standards.
- Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo.
- Experience working in a warehouse environment is a plus.
- Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance.
