Duties & Responsibilities:
Load materials into vehicle and install straps, bracing or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit
Follow company delivery routes to ensure maximum efficiency of delivery run
Manually, load or unload materials onto or off pallets, skids, platforms or lifting devices
Check all load–related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate
Maintain a professional appearance and conduct as you promote good working relationships with all customers
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Valid Class 5/G drivers’ license with six years driving experience required
Driver’s abstract with no major infractions subject to approval by FGI insurers required
High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) required
Heavy duty parts supply background and/or knowledge an asset
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and attention to detail
Excellent customer service skills – dedicated to exceeding expectations of internal and external customers
Strong written and verbal skills – ability to write and speak succinctly with customers and colleagues
Basic to proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (email, word, excel) and ability to learn in-house systems
