Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced IBM Data Stage Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL solutions for enterprise data integration projects. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in IBM Data Stage, SQL, data warehousing concepts, and end-to-end ETL development within complex enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy ETL jobs using IBM Data Stage.
- Develop data extraction, transformation, and loading processes from multiple source systems.
- Optimize ETL workflows for performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Work closely with business analysts, data architects, and stakeholders to understand data requirements.
- Perform data mapping, data validation, and reconciliation activities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Data Stage job failures and performance issues.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, job schedules, and support procedures.
- Participate in code reviews and follow ETL best practices.
- Support production deployments and provide post-production support.
- Work with databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, or Teradata.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience in IBM Data Stage development.
- Strong hands-on experience with ETL/Data Integration projects.
- Experience with Data Stage Designer, Director, Administrator, and Manager.
- Strong SQL and database development skills.
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
- Experience with UNIX/Linux shell scripting.
- Strong debugging and performance tuning skills.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Infosphere Data Stage PX.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with scheduling tools such as Autosys or Control-M.
- Familiarity with Hadoop, Spark, or Big Data technologies.
- Banking, healthcare, or retail domain experience is a plus.
- Nice to Have
- IBM Data Stage certification.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Dev Ops practices.
- Exposure to Python or automation scripting.
