Job Overview

Greeting customers as they enter and making them feel welcomed at our store. Once in they are in the store, you’ll provide any assistance that is needed. You’ll answer knowledge and stock-based questions with each customer. Our goal is to provide top quality customer service and knowledge-based answers to each in every customer ensuring theirs and our success as they navigate the niche markets we specialize in. You will accurately create each customers order as they let you know what they would like, take payment for the order via our accepted payment methods and fulfill the order for the customer.

Along with the customer service you will be responsible for the filling stock, adding in new stock as it arrives and maintaining a clean environment. Cleaning duties will include daily sweeping, mopping, dusting of the front-end store front including washrooms (3) and the small kitchenette which in time may become a self-service café station that customers would have access to. You will also be responsible for the cleaning and setup of the classroom and equipment room as needed for offered classes, parties or private bookings. Shelf stock will need to be regularly replenished from the warehouse. Bathroom supplies will need to be monitored and replenished on an as needed basis. You’ll keep an eye on inventory used in the front end such as bags and receipt rolls and provide notice to management when additional stock is required.

Daily balancing of the till will be done at the start and end of your shift. Credit and debit card slips will be tallied and recorded at the end of your shift and registers will be properly shut down.

Responsibilities and Duties

Service customers in our retail location which includes in-store sales and online order pickups

Pick and pack in-store customer orders

Maintain stock level in the store front

Assist in the taking of new product photos to be sent to marketing and management for approval.

Place new product in the showroom once approval of photos has been given and the product has been added to our ecommerce site

Maintain cleanliness and a safe working and shopping environment throughout the store front, washroom, classroom and kitchenette areas

Service customers electronically through our Facebook pages, email and chat platforms

Process payments and change with accuracy while maintaining a balanced till

Setup classroom as needed for classes, parties or private bookings

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Must be able to lift product or boxes weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to keep yourself busy during slower periods

Excellent English communication skills both verbal and written

Familiarity with electronic communication including email and Facebook Messenger

Highly organized and detail oriented

Customer focussed

Trustworthy and reliable

Previous experience in a customer service position that involved cash handling and payment receipt

Knowledge of sublimation printing, DTF and UV DTF

Ability to clean, organize and maintain an eye-catching store front

Marketing and SEO knowledge and experience is an asset

Ability to use a heat press, to apply straight centered images to apparel, mugs and tumblers is an asset
