Duties

  • Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs in a friendly, professional manner
  • Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process transactions swiftly and securely
  • Handle cash, credit, and debit card payments with precision, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed
  • Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging upselling opportunities
  • Stock shelves, merchandise products attractively, and ensure the sales floor is organized and inviting
  • Assist with inventory management by stocking new items and participating in merchandising efforts
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries via phone etiquette or in person, resolving issues promptly
  • Support the team with supervising experience tasks such as training new associates or guiding customers through store processes

Skills

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively in both English and bilingual settings
  • Proven experience with POS systems and cashiering procedures in a retail or grocery store environment
  • Ability to perform retail math for cash handling, pricing adjustments, and sales calculations accurately
  • Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
  • Experience in upselling products and conducting product demos to enhance sales opportunities
  • Knowledge of merchandising, stocking techniques, and inventory management best practices
  • Familiarity with phone etiquette for professional customer interactions over the phone or online
  • Supervising experience is a plus for leadership responsibilities within the team
  • Basic math skills necessary for retail transactions and daily operations

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.85-$28.91 per hour
